A personal selection from Cologne's museums
Can we picture Bernd and Hilla Becher as curious people? That artistic couple who travelled the length and breadth of the country to systematically immortalise the subjects of their photographic passion with a large-format camera: endless rows of half-timbered houses, gasometers, blast furnaces, conveyor towers, cooling towers and water towers. All meticulously and beautifully documented in black and white, preferably under overcast skies.
