Here you will find all information about tickets for the museums of Cologne – from the MuseumCard and the annual pass to the online tickets of individual institutions such as the Ludwig Museum or the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud. Discover flexible options for single visits or an entire year full of art and culture – and easily find the ticket that suits you best.

MuseumsCard

With the MuseumCard, you can experience the municipal museums on two consecutive opening days—including Sundays and Tuesdays—discover the collections and special exhibitions, and use public transport within the city free of charge on the first day.

MuseumsCard Single

The MuseumCard Single costs 18 € (plus online fees). It allows one person to visit all municipal museums on two consecutive opening days and to use the public transport of the VRS partner companies within the Cologne city area on the first day.

MuseumsCard Family

The MuseumCard Family offers the same benefits but is valid for two adults and two children under 18. It costs 30 € (plus online fees).

Annual Pass

With the annual pass, you can enjoy art and culture as often as you like—twelve months long, six days a week, in all nine museums and in the Archaeological Zone. The annual pass is always valid for the permanent collections, but it can also be purchased to include all special exhibitions.

45 € (plus online fees) for school pupils, trainees, university students, and individuals with a degree of disability (GdB) of 50% or more

Without special exhibitions

68 € (plus online fees)
34 € (plus online fees) for school pupils, trainees, university students, and individuals with a degree of disability (GdB) of 50% or more

MuseumsCard

The purchase/validity date and the name are entered on the card. It is personal and non-transferable.

The Museum Card can be purchased blank and only filled in with name and date when it is intended to be used.
Important: Fill it in before using public transport!

Annual Pass

The annual pass is valid for one year from the date and name entry. It is personal and non-transferable.

Children up to 6 years of age receive free admission when accompanied by an adult!

Proof of eligibility for the reduced annual pass must be presented at the time of purchase.

Please note that lost cards cannot be replaced.

The Römisch-Germanisches Museum on Roncalliplatz is closed for renovation. The interim location for the museum in the Belgisches Haus at Neumarkt, Cäcilienstraße 46, is open: daily except Tuesdays!

The Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud will close on August 3, 2026, for a two-year renovation.
