A theme that immediately brings to mind a host of associations. Especially in our home city of Cologne, where life in the immediate neighbourhood – the ‘Veedel’ – and the simple joys of everyday life are the subject of countless stories and songs. But even an unexpected juxtaposition, for example in an exhibition display, naturally catches the eye and invites us to take a closer look.
